After church that Sunday, Jared, Karis and I got into some more comfy clothes and then headed out to Valley Forge National Park for a picnic. Valley Forge Park is only a few miles from where we live, and it has been a peaceful place for me to escape to occasionally throughout these past 4 years in med school whether I go there to run off stress, get fresh air, to get away from the noise of the city, or to take long walks with friends and catch up on each other's life. It seemed appropriate at the closing of these last 4 years of our time here in Philly to have our first picnic as a 3-person family in that setting.
